DECEASED MEMBER ACCOUNTS
When a member dies, the remaining dependents on the account have the right to continue membership [as private members in the case where the membership was under a firm] if they wish to do so.
Should you or any dependent on the account wish not to continue the membership kindly inform us in writing within 30 (thirty) days.
If no communication is received from you within the 30 (thirty) days, you will be made the principal member of the account. This entails that MASM will be entitled to receive all membership contributions. If the account is not paid for by the last day of each month note that the suspension policy will apply from the first day of the next month and upon 3 months of non-payment and dormancy the termination policy will apply
CANCELLATION/TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
An insured person’s cover under this policy will automatically terminate if there is non-payment of monthly contributions for 90 (ninety) consecutive days (three months).
SUSPENSION OF MEMBERSHIP
Subscriptions become due in respect of, and benefits accrue to member and his/her dependents on the 1st (first) day of each month. Failure to pay in full the membership fee (monthly contribution) as required under this policy shall result in automatic suspension of the membership.
